THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS

Esta es una marcha popular de los Confederados durante la guerra
Civil.  De acuerdo a la leyenda dicen que "la rosa amarilla de Texas"
era de verdad una atractiva mujer, Emily Morgan West, hija de esclavos
que fue capturada por el General Santa Ana durante la revolucion
Texana de 1836.  Santa Ana sucumbio a sus encantos...pero ella tenia
otros planes.  Mientras duro el romance ella logro sacarle a Santa Ana
los planos de batalla, y se los entrego a Sam Houston, que ayudo a
Houston a vencerlo en la batalla de San Jacinto.Tal vez Texas seria
siendo de Mexico, sino hubiera sido por la importante ayuda de
Emily..."La Rosa Amarilla de Texas".Pepe Crow
